Spring Wild Images

(11 am–3 pm)
$35 per photographer,

Spend the day with our birds of prey! Take pictures of our resident injured and orphaned birds in natural settings.Some of our other animals may also make an appearance! Whether you are a professional or a novice, take advantage of taking pictures of these beautiful animals up close.

$35 per photographer, $15 for photography classes and clubs.

Earth Day “Clean up the Gwynns Falls Trail”

This is a FREE event.

Earth Day LITTERBUGS

(9 am–12 pm )
This is a FREE event.

In honor of Earth Day let’s have some fun while helping the Earth. First we will go on a hike to clean up litter from the trails and stream, then we will use some of that litter to make LITTERBUGS. Feel good about yourself on Earth Day.

Hug a Tree Day

The Great Bug Hunt with “Dr. VonBeetle”

CricketCome help “Dr. VonBeetle” catch creepy crawlies for our classes and possibly some temporary displays. All insects will be identified and either released or moved into their temporary homes at the Nature Center.

The Great American Camp-Out

(4 pm–10 am $10 per person. )

hammockThe Boy Scouts will be hosting a “Great American Camp-Out” at the Carrie Murray Nature Center. This overnight camping adventure will begin on Saturday, June 24 with registration from 4-6pm, and will end on Sunday morning at 10am.

You don’t need to be a Boy Scout to come. It is open to everyone. Families welcome.

Fantasy Nature Painting Party

(6 pm–9 pm )
$35 per person.

paintingThe Friends of Carrie Murray Nature Center are hosting a Nature Fantasy Painting Party as a fundraiser for the Nature Center. This night is not only an art class–it’s a party. Some of our artists will walk you through creating a beautiful piece of artwork step-by-step. This is a BYOB event. Support the Nature Center while having fun painting, enjoying wine and nibbles, and checking out our amazing rescued animals. Doors open at 6pm so you can explore the Center. Event will start at 7pm.
