How Many People Does it Take to Plant a Bulb?

(12 pm–2 pm )
This is a FREE event.

Did you know that Fall is the best time to plant bulbs? Come and learn how to make your garden come alive in the spring. Learn about different types of bulbs, which are annuals vs. perennials, etc. Lloyd Tydings will share his knowledge and bulbs with you.

Friday, October 13:

Couples Fall Owl Prowl

(6 pm–9 pm )
$40 per couple.

Do something different this Friday the 13th Meet all of our resident owls, hang out with some of our naturalists, and learn to spot owls at night. Enjoy a romantic fire with marshmallow roasting while sipping on hot chocolate and learning about these beautiful birds. We encourage you to bring along a bottle of wine or other libation (if you are over 21 of course) to sip on while dissecting owl pellets. If you’re lucky you may even win the door prize…a pair of hand painted wine glasses. This will be a couples experience to be remembered for years to come No open toed shoes.

Friday, October 27:

Zombie Outbreak Hike

(5 pm–8 pm )
$10 per person. Only $5 if you come dressed as a zombie

Do you have the guts to hike with the zombies? If so, we have an evening hike for you. This hike will be led by zombie naturalists…we may even run into more along the way. After the hike we will build a fire, make s’mores, and if you like (and are of age) you can have a few drinks. This is a BYOB event.

“Winter’s on its Way” Hike

This is a FREE event.

Come enjoy the park before it gets too cold. On this hike we will look for signs of wildlife getting ready for winter. If you feel like it, go ahead and bring your canine companion (just make sure they stay on a leash). PETS OK

Basket Bingo

$20 gets you 20 games. Additional games will be available for an additional cost.

Help out our animals by joining us for a fun evening of bingo. Prizes will be themed baskets. “Bingo food” and daubers will be available for purchase.

Winter Hike

The woods are a completely different place in the winter. Once the leaves are gone it’s much easier to spot wildlife. Come see what you can see. If you feel like it, go ahead and bring your canine companion (just make sure they stay on a leash).

A Critter Christmas

Sometimes the animals have a hard time finding enough to eat during the winter months. Join us in decorating an outdoor Christmas tree that also helps feed our feathered and furred friends. Let’s make their holiday special too
