SHARING BALTIMORE'S NATURAL WONDERS
Carrie Murray Nature Center hosts a variety of programs for the public. There are diverse options for families, nature loving adults, artists, and animal lovers! Many of our programs are free, and those that have a registration fee are always affordable! Explore all we have to offer below and then browse the catalog in CivicRec to register.

On the first weekend of every month, we host family nature hikes. Naturalists lead a guided through the forest, exploring seasonal happenings through hands-on exploration, with plenty of opportunity for free play and wandering.

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Join us to read nature-based stories, sing songs, play and explore nature. For children up to 5 years old and their caregivers.
Hosted monthly, every 3rd Wednesday 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.​
On occasion, we partner with Enoch Pratt Library and host at various branches.
Therapeutic Recreation

We partner with the Therapeutic Rec Department in BCRP every month to deliver fun, accessible nature programming for folks of all ages and abilities. Some of our favorite programs include Nature Education Classes, Art & Nature, Animal Meet and Greets, Bingo, Sensory Bin Play, Winter Crafting, and more!

We offer a variety of hikes influenced by nature's seasonal changes. These hikes often include time for wandering and self-guided exploration. Some of our favorites include Mushroom Hikes, Tea Foraging Hikes, Mindfulness Hikes, Animal Tracking hikes, Park History Hikes, and Owl Prowls.
CMNC offers a variety of art programs for artists of all experience levels. From visual arts to the dramatic arts, program favorites include Nature journaling, Animal Portraits, Family Improv & Game Night, Crafting with Nature, Taxidermy Drawing, and more!


Special events are held periodically throughout the year, often alongside partners. Past favorites include Mushroom City, The Seed Exchange, International Mud Day, BioBlitz, Pride Outside, and our annual Earth Day Celebration!

We celebrate a variety of holidays and add our natural twist! Some holiday program favorites are Winter Solstice, Holi, Spring Equinox, Pride, Summer Solstice, Love Day, Pumpkin Carving, Harvest Feast, Mother's Day Tea Party, and more!
