How to register as a Carrie Murray Nature Center Volunteer:

1. Read through the volunteer position descriptions below.

2. Fill out a Volunteer Interest Form.

3. We will contact you to set up an interview time.

Volunteer Naturalist & Field Trip Guide

Learn more about the natural history of the park and lead school field trips for children.

Wild Haven Forest Preschool Interns

Early childhood majors are encouraged to apply for semester or school-year commitments.

Administration

Send emails, make phone calls, schedule events, and greet visitors to the Nature Center.

Summer Camp Counselor

Love teaching and playing with kids? Our Summer Camp is the perfect opportunity to do just that!

Animal Care Volunteer

Provide care and enrichment for our animal ambassadors, including reptiles, amphibians, and birds.

CMNC Ambassador

Share CMNC events and volunteer needs at environmental gatherings around the Baltimore community.

Trail Restoration

& Gardening

Help maintain the trails and gardens in Gwynns Falls Leakin Park.

Mother Nature Storyteller

Lead monthly story time to introduce the wonders of nature to local children and families.

Graphic Design

Get creative and design engaging marketing materials to promote events digitally.
