OUTREACH PROGRAMS

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT YOUR DOOR

Can't make it for a field trip? No problem - we'll come to you! Outreach programs offer a convenient way to meet live animals, participate in group activities, and discover nature in your schoolyard. Programs are offered year-round, but we suggest outreach visits December - March. Off-site outreach program pricing is here.

Schoolyard Wonders

Grades: Pre-K-2nd

Discover nature in your school yard! Science inquiry includes identification of plants, invertebrates, and other wildlife during outdoor games and a scavenger hunt. Note: Children will be outdoors for the duration of this outreach program; please dress for the weather!

Animal Encounters

Grades: Pre-K-5th

Meet live animals from Carrie Murray Nature Center's collection during an engaging visit with a naturalist. Participants will have hands-on experiences with artifacts and animal clues, too. Learn how scientists classify various animals based on their physical and behavioral adaptations.
