ABOUT LITTLE WILD HEARTS: 6-WEEK CAREGIVER & CHILD SERIES

Join us for a gentle, seasonal introduction to nature. Exploration, song, art experiences, and nature play abound! Two 6-week sessions are offered each season, year-round. Class meets outdoors, so dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. You can expect to meet like-minded parents while introducing your tot to local plants and animals. Hands-on activities are always part of our learning! Children make magical outdoor discoveries in every season, rain or shine.

Outdoor classes run from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for children 18 months to 3 years with a caregiver or parent. Each season hosts two series that run for 6-weeks each. Please note days off when you register.

LITTLE WILD HEARTS: FALL
Series 1:      Wednesdays, September 23 - October 28, 2020
Series 2:      Wednesdays, November 4 - December 9, 2020

CAREGIVER ROLE
Adults can ignite love, respect, and awe through their interactions with nature. We encourage caregivers to express their sincere wonder and curiosity during weekly outdoor sessions. While children often do learn the names of familiar plants and animals in the park, our emphasis is on being comfortable and excited to explore and play outdoors - not to memorize facts or names of plants. We ask that caregivers approach nature (including gross or strange aspects) with a positive, respectful attitude.

NOTE: Little Wild Hearts is not currently open for enrollment as we are getting back on track after the closures due to COVID-19. We are hoping to get this program back up to speed as soon as possible. Please email program director, Monica French, to be added to the waitlist for when we reopen.
