Unforgettable Experiences in the Park

Choose a fun and engaging school field trip that promotes science, natural history, nature education, and emergent approaches.


Park field trips are offered from 9:30 AM-12 PM.

FREE field trips are available for Baltimore City Public Schools 4th grade classes provided through the National Park Foundation's Open Outdoors for Kids grant.

  • Animal Ambassador meet-and-greets

  • Free bus parking

  • Experienced nature guides

  • Park setting for outdoor picnic lunch

  • Complimentary tickets for chaperones (10:1 ratio)

  • All necessary supplies and gear, if requested

Chesapeake Explorers

Discover the journey from the stream to the Chesapeake Bay. Students will search for stream invertebrates, check for bio indicators of stream quality, and quite possibly get wet! Boots and gear are included.
